#01 - Setting up a blog, YouTube Thoughts, Food - 08/05/2025

As I write this, it's 01:04am in the morning here and on a whim, I decided to start a blog! Truthfully, Ive always wanted to do this; I have a habit of logging down how I feel or discussing my plans, and its one of those things that was "the cool thing" to do when I was younger. The whole shtick of the late 2000s and early 2010s was having a blog or having some sort of online space to chat random stuff lol, so...why not finally do it?

Yknow, in 2025. About nearly 20 years late. Truly I am the master of timing and being timely /j

I want to use this space as a means to just talk freely or discuss my art, my youtube channel and all the plans I have going on there, and occasionally any other ramblings I have. Which begs the question: "why not use twitter or something?" Ill be honest, I detest that site. I really only keep it around for whatever anime/fandom/furry art i wanna like, posting my own work and trying to use the algorithm to get that stuff and my youtube/music stuff seen, and the occasional interesting discussion. All of the artists i tend to like have moved ship to bluesky, which is fine, and what's left on twitter is just bots and ragebait, plus crazies and actual racists. So really, why not have my own space? After all, I preach that the internet should be decentralised, and in the case that the internet collapses one day because the big companies somehow crash and sink, maybe this blog will survive and ill be okay.

So how about it? Thus, im here!

So to start off, I wanna ramble about my youtube channel for a second.

See it here!

Other than being a pixelartist of about six, nearly seven years, i am also a youtuber! Ive always been interested in having a youtube channel, ever since the days of being obsessed with the AVGN and the Nostalgia Critic around 2013 approx. I originally began the channel to document stuff about a game, timesplitters 2, specifically anomalies within the game. As it's my favourite game of all time, I wanted to just post stuff I found interesting, but over time, my content shifted all over the place until eventually, I really began finding my footing with video essays and posting my albums. The latter is pretty self explanatory, but the former is where I feel happiest the most when it comes to my channel honestly. I love making these small little documentaries or personal projects about stuff I like, it lets me kinda ramble and pour my heart out a bit when it comes to subjects that I really am passionate about! Which is why im feeling optimistic for the future of my channel. Recently, I released a video called Deltarune Means Everything to Me - its a small little video about my thoughts and feelings about the changes within the culture and the fandom to do with the game, as well as my own experience with the game. I am extremely flattered that the video did so well, as really, I just had this urge within my heart to discuss something so specific to me and my love for the game. I wasnt really aiming for some big hit, but, im flattered nonetheless <3

I want to keep this up. The next video I believe will be on LSD Dream Emulator! Not sure of the specifics just yet, but, I have the urge to discuss that game, because its been on my mind and I really wanna give that game a bit of time in the sun. I hope to keep working on videos like this, because they genuinely make me really happy.

Other than this, I figured I should clarify: "what's with the name of the blog?"

I have a thing for naming stuff Im either working on, or connected to me, with japanese or asian food names~ Im not sure when it exactly began, but I just think its a fun naming scheme .

Anyway! Looking forward to writing in here more! Really excited for this new venture~ <3
