#62 - Mancfurs Experience~! - 12/09/2026

MANCFURS~!

I went to it today, experienced it today, and it was really fun! For being like, a bit brief of an experience, I can say it was well worth the wait, and well worth the preparation for the partial costume that I came along to the whole thing with. Truthfully, my body is exhausted - I had gone to a different event just two days earlier and the cold was enough to make my bones ache, so I was a lot mechanically slower today. Tonight and tomorrow will be my chance to have a good, proper rest.

So, what happened today?

It started with meeting a friend at Piccadilly Station - since I couldnt get to Manchester through my usual means, I decided to uber it all the way down to Victoria Station. The reason for this was because I wanted to have a small walk to Piccadilly, to get my legs warmed up. Once I met up with my friend, I reconnected with em after a year of not seeing them in person! Then, we headed down to the Gay Village (Which was, as far as im aware the first time i'd been there). We idled around the entrance of the venue, then headed inside - the place was a mix between a pub and this atmospheric, indigo hued place perfectly fit for suiters, pupmaskers, and furs of all manners of different places and spaces, shapes and sizes. Following my friend, I ended up meeting some of the friends they'd made from their previous visiting of the venue, and we hit it off! Unfortunately, the actual fursuit parade which was the core of the mancfurs furmeet, was cancelled due to the rain but being able to see so many beautiful fursuits and engage with people, make some new friends, was really fun! After a little bit of time, we headed out to mooch near the street where the parade would have gone on, with myself donning my kig-mask and partial suit. Gotta say, I did wear it somewhat when I was indoors and...I did wonder if maybe I was embarrassing myself somewhat, but, when I donned it and even outside...man, something changed in me. To BECOME Patchblob for a time, to feel cute about myself, a big furry anthro critter...gosh...! I even got like, "uppies", aka being twirled in the air a little lmao, by my friend, and thanks to Fizz, a friend I made from following my close friend around here, I got some banger extra photos of everything~! After a little bit of time, we all splintered off for the day, and the day came to an end~ The only other thing of note that happened was that two grown ass men kept screaming that we were all in need of jesus or that we were gay lmao, but like...ok lmao.

Honestly? Lovely time~! And im absolutely going again next month, and the last few months of this year too. I wanna be a part of the parade, I wanna spend more time with friends, and I wanna just keep embracing the furry side of things. I am really really happy, and despite my tiredness, I am legitimately very happy <3. It's so nice to see like I belong somewhere, to see something im passionate about up-close, nerd out, just be me, yknow?

So what's the plan from here?

I'm going to the next few ones, as I said, but im thinking of also like, making a con-badge to wear so folks can identify me via my username. Im also thinking of maybe simplifying parts of the mask a little, maybe. I'm kinda interested honestly in like, maybe making another kig-mask at somepoint honestly, but for now, I have patchblob-kigurumi mk1, and that's all I need. But I want to be in that parade! And I hope the weather is kinder to everyone next month, so we can do it.

Im happy <3

And I am thriving~
