Patchblob-Kigurumi Partial Suit MK1
Patchblob-Kigurumi Partial Suit MK1 is the first of what will be many Arts and Crafts projects that I'll be working on. Working on this one was an interesting, honestly fascinating process. As someone who's generally had distaste for working on arts and crafts projects in the past thanks to having had some terrible experiences in high school concerning the subject, coming back to the medium to design something like this was interesting. Seeing as I wanted to go to Mancfurs on September 12th 2026, I felt compelled to have a costume of some kind.
There were a few reasons for this - the first, being that I am not made of money and that a suit would be absolutely out of the question given that I am unemployed and that I also didnt even have a starting point on trying to find a suitable maker for a suit, be it partial or not. The second, was that I wanted to feel like a part of the fandom - this is a very subjective kind of thing but I didnt necessarily NEED a suit or whatever. It's just that I personally wanted one. And what better way to prep for an event like this, by making something like a partial suit? So I did my research, and I had already been somewhat aware of kigurumi stuff. Now, kigurumi stuff isnt exclusively furry, but, quite a few really well made homemade furry outfits/costumes have been made from such a thing, and I felt...well, I could try it!
So how did I fare? Let me tell you.
The objective of this costume for this Mancfurs, and beyond, was to create something that represented me - so, in this case, Patchblob Hygadeine, my first OC, and my fursona, basically. I've been somewhat in denial about him being as such, but he is. So
